One hundred years ago on this date (October 2, 1921), Wahoo Sam Crawford played the final games of his professional baseball career. With six hits in a season-ending doubleheader, Crawford helped the Los Angeles Angels capture the Pacific Coast League pennant. After 23 seasons as a professional ballplayer, Wahoo Sam went out a champion.
